silver embroidered silk (Eynsham OX29)
This was a dress my grandmother wore for the Delhi Durbar in India in 1911. The fabric is ivory wild silk and the embroidery is actual silver applique. The dress itself is probably not very clean as I wore it myself during the 1960s but the fabric might be useful for something.
