Wooden Step Ladders (Chilcompton)

Very old and wobbly tall wooden step ladders, which have woodworm (treated), are quite flexible when open and have had many repairs!! They are probably best now used for a nice artistic display in my opinion; perhaps flowers, they certainly have plenty of "patina" and character. They were last used by me only 2 weeks ago to trim the very high hedge at the front, but wobbling about on the top, I've decided "no more" and now purchased some new aluminium ones with a safety rail. Even Teddy won't go up them. There are 6 steps plus the top. The height floor-to-top is 1.77mtrs (5'10"). The depth at the floor when open is 1.06mtrs (3'6"). The width of the ladders across the tread side is 32cm (1'1"). The wood is quite dark, so I'm not sure what its made of, but I did wonder if it's mahogany, or just very old pine.
