Plumbing compression paste (BS10)

Hi im attempting a one off job to fit a couple of compression joints and understand im to use sealing paste on the olives to get a water tight fit, as i only need a small amount a full tub would go to waste so has anyone some dreggs leftover in a tub i could collect and use ?.Regards and thanks.
