The jar is not water-tight so the alcohol preservative evaporates slowly. It occasionally needs to be topped up with isopropyl alcohol 70% (this is just rubbing alcohol, it can be bought very cheaply at cvs/walgreens/etc). Will leave him on the porch for you to pick up.
