I was in middle of cleaning our living room carpet about 12 months ago and it suddenly just 'died'..this was 4th time of using the machine. I did ring Vax...apparently it was 12 months old and 3 weeks ! (Completely forgot about it until I noticed it in my shed yesterday) So no guarantee and ended up buying another machine.

It may well be a simple fix,certainly be great if already have a similar cleaner as it is complete still.
Just think it be a shame to see it end up at the landfill.
