Shaped hardboard pelmet attached to wood. Great at keeping out light from above the curtains. We had this in our children’s bedroom and it has been painted several times as their room was redecorated, hence the motley of colours. At one time I filled in the space in the centre with card and painted that to match, see last photo, to cut out even more light.
Measures 214cm wide, 26 from top to bottom and the “shelf” is 15cm so that curtains can be still be easily pulled open.
It was attached to the wall by 3 or 4 cheap & simple L brackets, using the wooden top like a shelf.
