You can see one “in action” in the first photo. You take the old outlet cover off, slide this one on. It has clamp things (you can see in the 3rd photo) that touch most outlets in a way that gives them power. We found that some of our outlets worked to have the LEDs point down. Some had to point up.

They have a light sensor so the lights only come on when it’s dim enough.

My family is allergic to light, it seems, so ours has kapton tape to make the light more yellow and dimmer.
