Weed control fabric (Marton Bank FY4)

Ive recently moved into a property and the garden is over run with bindweed I spend days clearing it only for it to return twice as bad so before I clear it again I would like to collect some fabric to lay down to hopefully get rid once and for all....T.I.A and if anyone has any advice on getting rid of this awful stuff I would really appreciate it 😊
