This came with a sensor unit to be placed outdoors for detecting temperature, but that died. The clock was designed to get the time automatically over the air--this does not work for me, but might work in a location with better reception. The clock can also be manually set. The indoor temperature seems to be accurate. Uses two AA batteries. 7" height.
Bottom line: Think of this as a battery-operated digital clock, and if any of the other bells and whistles work, that is a bonus.
