Ink cartridges and Printer? (Ellicott City, Turf Valley)

Size 65XL ink cartridges, one rarely used colored; two new black. HP DeskJet 3755 printer,scanner,copier. May or may not work. Indication was it was "OK" but then I would get error message "your printer needs attention" and it wouldn't print. I am not technical savvy. Cartridges fit this printer.
