new-ish Android tablet (Britannia)

This may be rather a big ask, since I'm relatively new to the TN community ... but nothing ventured, nothing gained!

My Huawei MediaPad tablet is on its last legs, after four years of faithful service. The battery says it's fully charged ... then five minutes later, it just shuts down. My son tells me that such things are never designed to work for more than a few years (because manufacturers are bastards).

Replacing the battery would cost more than a new tablet – but before I go shopping and spend the big bucks, I'm checking here.

I know that new laptops often come with a tablet attached – I bought mine on Kijiji from just such an arrangement. Did anyone here get such a freebie they'd be willing to part with ... ideally another 10-inch model, so it fits my current case?
