This probably deserves to be taken straight to the tip, but I have decided to try using the last chance saloon that is Freegle. As you can see in the picture, it is old and has a chunk missing ( cunningly highlighted using black gaffer tape).
On the other hand you could describe it as a unique table having a bespoke adjustment to allow easy use of a laptop!
