We are the Greyling family, originally from South Africa, and we are currently trying to get settled and make a home for our family of four here in America.

Starting over in a new country is exciting, but it also comes with many challenges, especially when it comes to getting all the basic household essentials together.

We are reaching out to ask if anyone might have household items they no longer need and would be willing to give away. Things like kitchen utensils, a dish drying rack, cutlery organisers, bedside tables, plastic storage drawers, and other everyday essentials would be a huge help.

We have also put together an Amazon Wish List with examples of some of the things we need. The items listed are only suggestions, and similar, cheaper alternatives or second-hand items in good condition would be just as appreciated. There is absolutely no expectation to buy anything.

If you happen to have something available, know of someone giving things away, or would like to help by purchasing an item from our wish list, we would be incredibly grateful.

We are still finding our feet in a new country and slowly working towards making our house feel like home. Every little act of kindness makes a difference, and we truly appreciate anyone willing to help or even share this post.
