Garage clearout continues… I have a box of kitchen cabinet / cupboard hinges available — the type that snap/spring closed. I think they may be called concealed cabinet hinges or cup hinges, but I’m not pretending to be a hinge expert!! I’m just a man trying to reclaim his garage. There are somewhere between 16 and 20 hinges in the box. They’ve been stored for a while, so they may be a bit dusty/grubby, but they look like useful spares for someone repairing or fitting kitchen cupboards. Ideal for kitchen units, garage cupboards, workshop storage, or anyone who has ever opened a cupboard door and thought, “That hinge has had enough.” Free collection. Please take the lot — I don't need to be the sort of person who owns a “useful hinge box” forever. 😁

Red Double Sockets + Switch (Wigmore ME8)

Next item from the great garage clear-out: 11 red double / 2-gang plug sockets, plus 1 matching red double light switch. These were originally chosen by my late mum for our old house. I loved her dearly and miss her very much, but it has to be said — some of her interior design choices were, shall we say, bold. These sockets are definitely from the “why have plain white when you can make a statement?” school of decorating. They were later replaced with more traditional white ones, and have been sitting in storage for years since. As a result, they are used and grubby, so they’ll need a good clean. I have not tested them, so please assume they should be checked by someone competent before use. Ideal for a workshop, garage, quirky décor project, theatrical set, man cave, retro room, or anyone brave enough to bring red sockets back into fashion. Free collection. Please take the lot if possible — I’m trying to clear space, not curate a museum of questionable electrical styling.

4 x Home Brew Pressure Barrels (Wigmore ME8)

I have 3 white 10 litre home brew pressure barrels, plus 1 smaller barrel, probably around 5–6 litres, looking for a new home. I acquired them many years ago with good intentions, as one does when falling down the home-brewing rabbit hole. However, I never actually used the 3 larger ones, as I moved straight on to a stainless steel conical fermenter and Corny kegs — because apparently I decided to skip “sensible hobby” and go directly to “small industrial unit in the garage”. Since then, these barrels have mostly enjoyed a quiet retirement taking up space in my garage. They are not new, and have been stored for a while, so they’ll need a proper clean/sterilise before use. I’d also recommend checking/replacing any seals or caps before pressurising, as I can’t guarantee airtightness after storage. Ideal for someone who home brews, wants spare barrels, or is just beginning the journey from “I’ll make a few bottles” to “why is there brewing equipment in every room?” Free collection. Please take all 4 if possible — I’d rather not split them up and end up keeping “just the small one”, which is how this whole problem started.
