Long story short, my hubby recently got laid off and while he's applying to jobs, he's trying out a new venture involving used books to try to earn a few bucks. If you have a box or two you're looking to get rid of, I know he'd love to keep them out of the landfill. He'll use what he can, let the kiddos pick out anything they want (if there are any kids books) and everything else will be donated to charities that accept books, gifted out to anyone in the community or distributed to local 'little libraries' so nothing goes to waste. Have numerous Black-eyed Susan and Rose of Sharon perennial plant/shrub. Now would be a great time to transplant. You can see the color before the frost hits and need to be cut back. Sometimes Rose of Sharon seedlings are not the same color as the mother plant.
