I recall that sometimes people need old carpets for lining ponds and such like. I am replacing a load and it. So if you want some, you are very welcome to come take some. One less thing in landfill (and one less run to Carnaby tip for me!) Here are some ideas for reusing old carpet that the wonderful internet suggests:- - Lay down old carpet in a vegetable garden to pull double duty as a weed mat and pathway. - Cut it up into small pieces to place under the legs of a heavy table or chair that needs to be moved. This helps the furniture slide across a hardwood floor without you having to lift it. Also protects carpets underneath. - Glue carpeting to a wood post to create a scratching post. - Fold a scrap over in two to kneel on when you garden. Please let me know when you can collect. Cassette Music Tapes, Pre-recorded (Harrogate HG1)
A large shoe box full of cassette tapes, almost all pre-recorded/commercially recorded music, plus the odd home recording (also music). Music of various genres - classical, opera, folk, French 'chansons' etc, American folk, traditional (e.g. Austrian, Russian, etc), instrumental, vocal, etc etc. N.B. I have listened to both sides of every single cassette over the last few months. All stretched/worn out cassettes have been binned. If the taker discovers poor quality recordings, then either the cassette has given up its ghost after my recent check, or my standards are lower than than the taker's!! They all sound either very good or good to me. I am still going through more cassettes which are not shown in the photo. These will be added to the collection being offered. Eventually, in not too long from now, hopefully, I will also be offering the cassette player with which I am testing all of these cassettes. Feel free to express an interest in that now.

Vintage wooden 16 inch block plane (Knaresborough HG5)
This is a 16inch vintage wooden block plane. It is stamped on one end with the marks of CT Skelton & Co Sheffield, and also stamped with G P Preston & Sons of Sheffield. Manufacturer and dealer respectively? - I'm not sure as it isn't my field. Blade is surface rusted and there are some paint marks and dings. These only fetch a few quid online as they are still quite common and tool collecting is a bit niche, so not worth me selling really. Located near LIDL in Knaresborough.
