If anyone's having a clearout, I'm looking for books, lots of books, any books! Wanting books for some winter reads and filling up bookshelves to make my flat more homely - and also for art projects (so I'm happy with any condition) Anything not suitable will be recycled or dropped off at a charity shop, so I'll make sure nothing's going to landfill :)

Single bed (Kemptown BN2)
It’s a single bed with a cast iron headboard and footboard, in a cream colour. The headboard has some rust, see photo. The bed dismantles for transport into a base board, a mattress, the head board, the footboard and two struts. It all fits together with sturdy nuts and bolts. Being cast iron the individual pieces are quite heavy but can be carried short distances. I live in Kemptown. I’m happy to include the mattress or for it to be left if you already have one. It hasn’t been slept on very often.

Armchair in black faux-leather. Safety label on base. One pair of legs is a bit wobbly and has been repaired by the looks of things, but doesn’t seem to affect the stability at all. Optional black fabric cushion - please check out all the photos. 75cm wide x 69cm deep x 69cm high approx. Priority given to organisations / people in need, so please tell me why you want it and be prepared to wait a few days for me to read messages and decide. Thanks :) I can be available any time for you to collect it. Preston Circus area. IMPORTANT – you will need to be able to pick up this chair and carry it yourself, including getting it up some steep and wonky steps from my basement flat. I will certainly help if I can but I’m somewhat disabled by age and illness, so I cannot make any promises, sorry. It could theoretically be done by one person, but safety and good sense says bring a friend if you can please.

IKEA desk. This is an old desk but still has plenty of life in it. It is a good size with a drawer and cupboard. The bracket (between the side and top of the desk) is in the drawer as I don’t think we put it back on when we moved. The top just sits on the dowels but you could add the bracket or some glue if you wanted. Ive used daily as my work desk for years and it functions perfectly. But I wouldn’t advise in eg a relatively young child’s room as don’t think it would be sturdy enough if someone tried to sit or stand on it!

Desks, office chairs, drawer units, bookshelves, household furniture, electrical goods, children’s books, stationery, office and school equipment, infant school tables and chairs, files, folders, boxes of disposable face masks, aprons, hand sanitizers; toys, games clothes, crockery, ornaments and more. Collection from St Peter’s Community School, Portslade BN41 1LS. Entrance on Brambledean Road opposite Dreams bed store. Between 12 midday and 2pm only, please do not come outside of these times as no one will be there! First come first serve. No reservations and I may not have time to answer individual queries on items I’m afraid. Delivery may be possible, speak to us at the event, there would be a charge for delivery.
