Large vintage-style button-back armchair – restoration/upcyc (Broomhill S10)
Free to anyone who can collect this weekend after 3pm Saturday 26 September. Earliest collection will take priority as I really need it gone. There is no fire label. Large, substantial vintage-style armchair with deep buttoned upholstery, stud detailing and wooden legs. It has a lovely traditional shape and could look absolutely splendid with some TLC. Please look carefully at the photos as it is definitely a project rather than a chair in pristine condition. The leatherette is heavily cracked and worn in places, particularly on the seat and arms; some of the buttons are missing; and the black lining underneath has come away and needs restitching. There is general wear consistent with its age and use. That said, it is a very characterful chair and seems far too good simply to throw away. It could be a great restoration or reupholstery project for someone who enjoys bringing old furniture back to life. It is large and heavy, so please come prepared to move it. You will need a large estate car with the seats down or, preferably, a van. Free – collection only. Must be collected this weekend. I will give priority to whoever can collect soonest, rather than holding it for someone who may be able to come later. Please message me with when you can actually collect. Thank you
