8 total. 7 of them have one broken lid, the last one has two broken lids. Otherwise, in perfectly good condition. the black marks are just numbering by market, and Should wash off, and you will want to give these a good soak anyway. Besides pills, I could see these being used to store arts and craft supplies, screws, etc.
