Retro style Ikea Poang chair frame (Rochester ME1)
A full adult-sized Poang with unusual stainless steel seat and back frame, with its signature style laminated bent wood arms and legs and all the original nuts and bolts. This was Freecycled to me a year ago with plastic strap ‘webbing’ supports and a seat and back foam cotton covered cushion, which l discarded with the idea to upgrade. This frame does not have a high back for a headrest cushion unless you are on the shorter side. I like this chair. I dreamt of spray painting the steel a fab colour and adding fresh slats or strapping, light sanding the wood varnish off and re-spraying to re-fresh, and adding gorgeous, moody cushions to sit on… Alas, l am decorating the whole house this year instead. Spring project anyone? First to see, will love it and take it. Just let me know :-)
