Free: Interior latex paint several colors (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Expired 1y - Nine partially full old one-gallon cans of interior latex paint in green pea, cantaloupe, brick, yellow. Three partially full old one-quart cans of interior latex in white, black, yellow. One partially full quart can of Minwax early American wood stain. Latex paints clean up with water. The Minwax is oil-based. As is, take all cans or none. Includes one box of brushes. Must be taken by April 12.

Free: Double ("full") bed (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Double/full sized mattress, box spring, and metal frame with caster wheels. Includes mattress cover, skirt, and quilt shown in photos. Old but very lightly used, very clean, high quality mattress (original cost $800). Must be picked up first week of April.

Includes everything in photos, including two final filters, one dirt collection bag, and various accessories. Yellow area rug is also available. Must be picked up first week of April.

Free: 2 Drawer Filing Cabinet (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Heavy gage metal. Drawers slide easily. 28.5 inches front to back. 30.5 inches tall. 15 inches wide. You must carry it down a flight of stairs, then to your car. Drawers are easily removed for carrying. Must be taken soon (this weekend at the latest).

Free: Formica counter (desk?) top, chair (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Filing cabinets in photo have been gifted. Only the counter top and chair are now available. Width of counter/desk top is 5 feet. Its 24 inches front to back. You must carry up one flight of stairs from the basement. Must be picked up soon, this weekend March 4/5 at the latest.

Free: Two small 2-drawer filing cabinets (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - These are 29.6 inches tall, 15 inches wide, and only 18 inches front to back. Take one or both. You must carry up one flight of stairs from the basement. Must be taken soon (this weekend March 4/5 at the latest).

Free: Ugly but solid chest of drawers (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - This hardwood chest of drawers has been used for tools and supplies in a basement wood shop. All drawers slide easily, and it is solid and functional. Someone (before me) painted it gray, and the paint has lots of scuffs and chips. The front left corner of the top has holes where a vise was mounted. It is 36.5 inches high, 48 inches wide, and 22 inches front to back. You will need two people to carry it up one flight of stairs from the basement. Must be picked up soon (this weekend March 4/5 at the latest).

Free: Tall blonde hardwood chest drawers (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Expired 1y - Hardwood chest of drawers. 35 inches wide, 50 inches tall, 20 inches front to back. All drawers slide smoothly, except the bottom drawer takes a little extra effort. Finish has taken a beating. Some pieces of veneer are missing on the front (see photos), and top is scuffed and stained (see photo). But clean and very functional. You will need two people to carry it up one flight of stairs from the basement. Must be picked up soon (this weekend March 4/5 at the latest).

Free: Cedar chest (top needs refinishing) (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Cedar chest with copper fittings. Two of the wheels on the feet are missing, but the two remaining wheels could be removed. Or 4 new wheels could be installed. The inside is like new. The outside is in good condition except for the top surface. The lid is solid, but the finish on the top is badly damaged (see photo). Top could be refinished to a beautiful condition. You must carry it up one flight of steps from the basement. Two people would be best. I cannot help due to back problems. Must be picked up soon (this weekend, March 4/5, at the latest).

Free: Tall white particle-board shelves (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Good condition and clean. All but the middle shelf are adjustable in height. Photo shows 4 shelves but a 5th is included if you want a shelf for short things. 69 inches tall, 27 inches wide. Shelves are 9.25 inches deep. You must carry it up one flight of stairs from a basement. All but the middle shelf can be removed to make the case lighter. You will probably need two people. I cannot help due to back problems. Must be taken soon -- this weekend (March 4/5) at the latest. (Also available not pictured: a double-wide set, not in as good condition. Somewhat stained and yellowed from age.)

Free: "Medieval" chair (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Wooden chair (adult size), solid, with 3 legs. Finish has many nicks as shown in the photos. Chair was purchased new in 1969 from Middle Earth Furniture in Greenwich Village, NYC.

Free: Kites, nylon cord, fittings (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Expired 1y - Parafoil kite, lots of nylon cord of different sizes, metal fittings for clipping/unclipping kites from cord. Fishing reel with cord for rapid rewinding of cord. Included is a box kite seven feet tall (not pictured) with red nylon fabric. It requires a strong wind.

Free: Small work table, adj. height (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Expired 1y - This table, two feet across, originally had a baby seat in the middle. The seat is gone, and the back of the seat can no longer be raised (see 2nd photo showing wood added underneath). Formica top. Adjustable height. Legs fold up like a card table. Free: Two Danish wooden chairs (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Pair of beautiful and comfortable Danish style wooden chairs. Solid (not wobbly). Can be used as is, but the cane seats are beginning to fray in places around the edges as shown in the 2nd photo. Must be picked up right away (by Saturday March 4 at the latest). Free: Bubblewrap, foam, "peanuts" (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Expired 1y - 3 large bags of clean packing materials to wrap fragile items and/or pad between a shipping box and items. Used but clean, includes bubblewrap, foam sheet, plastic bubble pillows, etc. Small amount of brown paper. One bag contains a clean mattress cover to use for packing. A 4th bag contains clean peanuts. If you come to my house but are nervous about snow/ice, I will bring them out to your car in the road.

Free: Foam exercise floor mat (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Mat to put on the floor for exercise, yoga, pilates, etc. Clean and in excellent condition. Used very little.

Free: Lincoln logs (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Childrens' toy set of Lincoln Logs. Free: Split keyboard for Mac (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Keyboard for MAC with separate sections for right and left hands. Each half can be placed in an optimal position for your needs. Keyboard was purchased in 2021, and used very little, so its like new. Connects to computer with USB. Not sure how well it would work on a Windows computer. There is a Mac Command key and a spacebar on both halves. If you ask for this keyboard, please say which type of computer you would use it with.

Free: Deck sprayer (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - For spraying wood preservative or stain on outdoor wood such as decks, gazebos, and picnic tables. Although purchased many years ago, it was never used. The box was never opened.

Everything in the photos, including a soldering gun, solder, a 100 foot tape measure, and grits for honing blades (orange box at the back). Misc. wire (iron, aluminum, copper), nails, screws, etc. Packed in 2 boxes ready to pick up.

Free: Bird feeder & iron pole supports (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Two iron poles that stick in the ground (when not frozen). One pole has two hooks at the top, and the other has one, upon which bird feeders, suet, etc. can be hung. Between the iron poles is a broomstick, with a platform feeder hanging on it. Birds love to sit on the broomstick while they contemplate darting to the platform. Each pole has a PVC pipe that is too wide for squirrels to climb. If the system is away from trees or other things from which squirrels can jump, it is squirrel proof. The pipes have hardware cloth inserts to keep squirrels from climbing up inside the pipes. Well tested -- it works! N.B. if you have bears in your neighborhood, I've been told that birdseed can attract them.

Free: Vice (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - This good-sized vice is 13.5 inches front to back, and the jaws are 4.5 inches wide. It is heavy! You will need to carry it from our basement to your car.

Free: 4 towel racks (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Gifted 1y - Hardware for 3 good-quality towel racks, new or slightly used, ready for you to install. A rod to hang a washcloth pulls out of the ends of 2 of the racks.

Free: CP/M for Apple IIe + 8" disk drives (2 Miles S of Amherst Center) Expired 1y - CP/M was a very popular operating system from about 1975-1985, prior to MS-DOS becoming popular (look them up in wikipedia), and prior to hard disks becoming common. I am offering a circuit board that fits into an Apple IIe computer, runs CP/M, and operates a dual 8" diskette drive (included), together with 5" (Apple compatible) diskettes and 8" diskettes, including boot diskettes. None of these have been tested for about 30 years, but they were in operating condition when retired. They have been kept warm and dry. I do not recall whether only CP/M can access the 8" diskettes, or also the Apple OS. If you are interested, I can send photos and additional information. You must have an Apple IIe computer since I no longer have one.
