- Needs a clean but I think it works. You set the alarm and a light comes on and gradually gets brighter, waking you up slowly. The bulb also gives off heat which warms scented beads in the top releasing their scent. You can also use cotton pads soaked in aromatherapy oils instead of the beads, but I don't have any left. At the same time it plays sounds of nature.
