Free: Lots of cut flower food sachets (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - If you cut flowers from your garden to bring inside, do flower arrangements for a church or events, or buy flowers from a market, this flower food is supposed to extend their life. Collected from buying supermarket flowers and not needing multiple sachets in one vase. Didn’t want to stick them in landfill. There are probably a hundred sachets in the tin, including both powder and liquid food. Tin itself is rusty, but I imagine the unopened sachets last forever! For collection from Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Media stand - chrome and glass (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - This is a stand with layers to hold a TV, games console/DVD player/satellite receiver and media, or perhaps it can be a computer table, or a side table. Free: Wooden bunk bed or twin beds (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - These two wooden bed frames can sit separately as twin beds or on top of each other as bunks. They are solidly made, and there is a matching wooden ladder to get up to the top level, and a guard rail that can be attached to stop a child rolling out. Made in the USA, from some heavy American pine, they were probably quite expensive in their day but they are showing some signs of age now. We cut the foot board to fit one under a sloping dormer ceiling (as shown in the photo) but the piece can be easily reattached if you prefer - it would just need some dowels and wood glue. We've owned these for 10 years, in a clean, non-smoking household, and they've had no contact with pets or any known allergens. There may be some small stickers and other signs of being used by small girls, and I think one of them drew a shape on it that might need sanding off. One or two slats of the bottom bunk have been repaired, and the upper bunk has a sort of board base. It doesn't come with any matresses, but it can take standard single bed size (we used some cheap foam ones). We've taken them apart to make them possible to transport, but they go together reasonably easily if you have some basic tools to screw the slats in place and tighten the bolts that hold the frame together. For collection from Riber, near Matlock, so please tell me when you could collect if you want to claim them. You'll need a largish vehicle, as the parts are heavy and several are 6 foot in length, and the board is just over 3 foot in width.

Free: Child's green bike or scooter helmet (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - This is a good quality bright green child's helmet that we bought when we got the kids Micro brand scooters. Free: Two decoupage penguins to finish (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - These two penguin were started by my daughter but not finished. You could finish them or start over, with any kind of decorating technique so it seems a shame to stick them in the bin. Let me know if you want to give them a new home. For collection from Riber, near Matlock asap.

Request: Wild fungi/mushrooms growing locally (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - A bit of an unusual ask, but I'm trying to learn about local fungi and I'd like to see, photograph, identify and occasionally pick them (to take a spore print, look at them under a microscope, set them in resin, or - very rarely - to eat). I've so far identified about 125 species within 3 miles of where I live. It has given me a reason to get outside and walk more, and to learn how to identify the different types. So if you have mushrooms or fungi (or something unusual growing that might be fungi) growing in your lawn, on some wood or a tree, or have seen any local to you please let me know. Ideally please share a photo. And if you are a local forager or fungi fan, drop me a note if you'd like to meet up and share finds! Free: Ottoman seat / chest (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - As shown in photo, this is a lovely ottoman that has seen better days. It would make a great project for someone to recover and repaint, and is in good solid condition except for the fabric and cosmetic appearance. Kindly donated by another freegle use, I intended to do it up myself but haven’t had the time or space. We are having a big clear out so I’d rather give it on to someone else. For collection in Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Kids bubble blowing (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - Lots of pots of bubble solution and bubble wands, a few large in test tube shape holders, many small. Some full, some part full, some empty. Can be topped up with diluted washing up liquid or you can buy fancy bubble concentrate online. Probably enough for a party or preschool group, if you gave them a sort and wipe down as they’ve been stored in our garage for a few years. For collection from Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Under bed storage crate (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - This shape plastic box on wheels is designed to slide under a bed to create extra storage. Free: Large wooden coffee table (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - This is a large wooden coffee table as shown in the photographs. Still looks quite smart but it has some wear to the edges because of standing on end and a small crack as seen in the close up photo. Nothing that would stop it being good enough to use, but if you are handy you could probably make it look good as new with a little tlc. For collection from Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Rooted forsythia cuttings (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - I finally got around to cutting back my huge forsythia, and found that several branches had put out roots where they touch the ground. So if you want a lovely, hardy, (and eventually large) bright-yellow-flowering bush that needs no maintenance beyond a bit of pruning, let me know. I've endless cuttings (and can supply a willow twig to make hormone rooter to ensure it sprouts in a cup of water) or I've got about 4 twigs that already have established roots (see photo). All will be female/flowering plants, as they are effectively clones of mine that is covered in yellow blossom as the garden wakes up each spring. For collection from Riber, near Matlock. Sooner the better!

Free: Lettuce and Chili seeds (expired date) (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - I found a packet of chili seeds that I got on the front of a magazine just before the pandemic. I don't like hot spicy stuff, so I've never planted them. Seems a waste to bin them when they might still grow. So they are yours if you want to give them a go. I've also got two or three packs of lettuce seeds, but I've never had much success battling the slugs over lettuce in my garden, so if you want some lettuce seeds too, I'm happy for them to find a new home. If you want to have a couple of other seeds, there are some where I have large packets and don't need them all, so just let me know when you collect and I can throw in a few carrots, onions or peas. There might also be some marigold or nasturtium seeds available too. Collection from Riber, near Matlock. Free: Rooted sage cuttings (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - I chopped back my massive sage plant and found that many branches had sent out roots and would therefore easily grow somewhere else. So, before I stick it on the compost heap, let me know if you want a branch or two. I’ve got plenty. Ideally you’d be able to collect tomorrow, so it doesn’t dry out too much. We are in Riber.

Free: White L-shaped bath (new, with damage) (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - ***For details of damage, see pictures and below*** This fancy L-shaped shower bath from Victoria plum has an RRP of £225 here: It is white, and measures 1500 by 850mm, and is "left handed" as pictured in the photos and all the technical details are shown in the link above. It is just the plastic bath (no chromeware or side panels). It is brand new and still in delivery packaging. Unfortunately, it was damaged during delivery, as a small piece of the plastic at the edge broke off. This is located on the same side as the overflow, in the segment that often has a shower screen over it. I have shown the location with a red circle in the first photograph. The broken piece was subsequently lost by our builders. However, depending on your room layout it may not be visible at all (particularly if you plan to tuck the wider shower end into a nook the width of a shower enclosure). Or you might have the creative or building skills to set it into a surround. However, you may want to use it for something else like a koi tank, pond base, sandpit or planter where the damage won't be visible or doesn't matter. For collection, near Matlock. It would probably fit in a large car with the seats down, and would be no problem in a van. Fair use: Advertised elsewhere also. I'll make a decision in a few days time, but has to be collected next week.

Free: iPhone 10 case (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - I've got a couple of cases for the iPhone 10 I used to have. There is a plain black tech21 case, and a Mous one with a wooden back. Let me know if they'd be of any use. For collection from Riber, Matlock. Free: Wool-based insulating packs (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - I've got a whole pile of the insulating packets that are used to keep food cool during deliveries. I think there are five boxes, plus a bin-bag full, from deliveries by Abel and Cole, and Belazu. I believe they contain unprocessed sheep's wool. If you have a use for them, I'd love to pass them on rather than chuck them in a skip. For collection in Riber, Matlock.

Free: kitchen cabinets (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - I've got an assortment of kitchen units, both base units and upper ones, suitable for use in a garage or workshop, or perhaps to replace some units that have been damaged. There are seven of them, all with doors. In solid useful condition, but I'm not sure there are enough to refurbish a kitchen, and there is no worktop. Most have the same doors, in an oak colour, or in the oak with glass windows, but there are a couple of extras with a beech finish (see photo). Given the choice I'd prefer someone to take them all. But worth making contact even if you just want some of them.

Request: Doc Marten Boots (size 5) (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - My 13 year old daughter is looking for a pair of size 5 Doc Marten Boots. She doesn't want to use all her saved pocket money on a new pair until she is sure she'd find them comfortable (she's quite sensitive to the feel of socks and shoes, fabric textures etc). So if it happens that you have a pair stashed away that you don't wear any more, she'd very much appreciate them, and I'd happily collect from anywhere in the area. Free: A jar of Belazu Beldi preserved lemons (Hearthstone DE4) Gifted - This a jar of fancy mini lemons preserved in brine, by Belazu, the importers/makers of fine mediteranean foodstuffs. As shown here: . They are supposed to be a taste sensation, winning a great taste award. I got 2 jars of them in a very expensive banquet ingredients kit for a charity cook-along last year. However, I just don't like the salty/sour/bitter flavour combination. This jar is therefore still sealed but past its best before date (its not a use-by date, it is just a recommendation for optimum texture/flavour - in my experience most things in jars/tins last indefinitely until opened). If you want it, let me know. Collection from Riber. Free: Panacur wormer for cats/kittens/dogs/puppies (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - We have two 100ml bottles of Panacur 10% oral suspension, a broad spectrum treatment for nematodes and worms safe for kittens and puppies, as well as dogs and cats. Past date, but one is still sealed, and quite expensive new. So might be worth using rather than me throwing them away. For collection from Riber, Matlock. Free: Heating oil / kerosine (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - We've had oil-fired heating for meany years, but we are moving onto renewables. We have about a quarter of a barrel of fuel oil left, and in times of high fuel prices it could save someone £20-30 or so. For collection in Riber, Matlock. However, you'll need a container to take it away in, and (although it seemed fine when we poured it out) you might want to run it through a fine mesh as it could contain a bit of sediment as it was at the bottom of the tank. Free: Insulating food packaging with untreated wool (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - We had Abel and Cole organic boxes for a while, and a few deliveries from Belazu. Both often sent dairy products with layers of insulating packaging. So I have two piles of five or six cardboard boxes with lining packs of insulating materials available for re-use. Boxes are approx 40x30cm, They vary from 15 to 30cm tall. Insulating packs are like those plastic air pockets you get in some deliveries, but filled with fibrous material - perhaps untreated wool. Combined with ice packs they can keep items cold all day, so they might be helpful to transport or store products that need refrigeration. Or, you might have a use for untreated wool. If nobody needs them and you get deliveries from Abel and Cole, you could return them for recycling. For collection in Riber, near Matlock.

Free: Kalanchoe cuttings (a resilient fuzzy houseplant) (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - I've had some fuzzy houseplants for many years, and every time a leaf drops onto another plant's soil it tries to grow. And if you neglect them they grow roots from the stem, which makes them easy to grow as cuttings too. As a result I have loads of rooted seedlings, if anyone wants one/some. I think they are a variety of Kalanchoe. Watered and cared for they make a dense succulent with leaves that are almost grey with a soft furry surface. A very similar variety is known as the panda plant. You might just want a new plant for your home. Or you can breed an army of them to give to friends or sell at a school fair or car boot sale. They really are easy to care for. So you can relax in the knowledge that they are almost impossible to kill. You can forget to water them for months and whilst they'll get a bit leggy, they'll still keep the top few leaves alive, and if they start to look unattractive you can snip off any stalk with a living leaf, stick it in some soil and start over. Available for collection from Riber, Matlock. Free: Old leather office chair (Hearthstone DE4) Expired - Its rich tan coloured leather or leatherette office chair that I inherited from the previous owner of the office I rented a few years ago. I called it the boss chair, because it was bigger and nicer than the standard office chairs we had. The leather is a bit cracked and worn, especially around the arms, and the seat centre has been somewhat flattened over time, so you might want to stick a cushion on it if you plan to sit there for a long time. Its also a bit heavier than modern office chairs. But, it is a well made chair that is much too nice to put in landfill, and with a bit of wax or shoe polish it might look good as new. For collection from Riber, Matlock.
