Request: Used packing paper &/or bubble wrap (New York City) Received 4d - Hello all! I've spent the weekend mopping from a burst pipe on one of the many floors above in my apartment building. Management has agreed to move me to somewhere dry lol. I've gathered as many boxes needed from Trader Joe's, the liquor store and Duane Reade. Now I just need to make sure everything gets transported sans breakage. Please 🙏 do not throw out your bubble wrap and packing paper if you're moving within the next week or so. You can be bored with them, need your space back, can't bring them with you when you move, forgot to water them, they look dead, have bugs, whatever. If they have bugs that's ok too, I kill the bugs and quarantine them in my bathroom before acclimating. I have grow lights, humidifiers and a burning desire to be surrounded with plants to care for. I'm not antisocial, I just prefer being at home surrounded by & tending to them more than hanging out around people in my free time. Please & thank you in advance. I can pick up at your convenience almost anytime Mon through Fri. Request: Acrylic, glass &/or plastic (Morningside Heights/Harlem) Received 28d - Asking for/In search of: Any acrylic, glass and/or plastic containers (jars, vases, whatever) in any size or shape, clear or tinted. Most people repot in the spring. I do it when I see their roots reaching the bottom of the container they're in. I purposely plant my plants in lighter containers so that I can keep an eye out for root rot, root health, proper drainage, etc. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Note to those who frown on the thought of a plant living in a container without drainage. If you look closely in the 2nd pic you'll see her roots are growing into the perlite I'm using to hold excess water at the bottom of the vase which would turn out badly if too much water stays at the bottom. I have had this monstera cutting in a tall rectangle vase for 6 months that has no drainage hole but a baby leaf just unfurled so there's got to be some method to my madness. Ijs

Redoing my kitchen storage with doors removed so looking to give splashes of color with your leftovers to my containers. Free: Wash board & Scratch post (Morningside) Expired 102d - I'm not sure if anyone here still uses washing boards... but this one is retro with minimal wear (considering how old it is) from a company that made them in Columbus, Ohio. This one's made of wood and glass and we don't use it enough to keep it. Also pictured is a cat scratch board that works horizontally or vertically... The cats aren't entertained by it. Barely used. It's not crazy loud but if you have it working in the furthest room from your front door & need a white noise sound.... Then this is it!!! It'll lul you to sleep the 1st time & every time after. It needs a bit of cleaning. The filter pulls out from the right hand side to rinse and clean just don't put it back in soaking wet. Gifting because the polar bear of the family no longer lives with us and we function just fine w/ screens and fans. Please comment your earliest pick up time availability for consideration. I have an over the door holder already in the bathroom so my OCD about the rust not coming off as fast as I want is troubling me. Pick up ASAP from Broadway and LaSalle. Caveats: 1: it came with rust, but barkeeper's friend has worked great on it 2: if you have clear nail polish and paint it after you clean and dry it, it won't rust. 3: I don't want to use the necessary energy on it because I need it for other household tasks I can finish faster.
