Request: Metal-frame cot with busted fabric (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Seeking a metal frame folding cot that has good condition and intact metal frame, but busted fabric portion (or intact but 100% cotton canvas). We hope to remove and replace the fabric portion, so we don't want cots with synthetic fabric (nylon, polyester blend, etc.) that would be in good enough shape for someone else to use as a cot! Thank you for your consideration.
Free: Low-toxin Christmas/holiday books (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Gifted All low-toxin books from fragrance-free, smoke-free, pet-free home. A variety of holiday stories, histories, and songbooks (some with sheet music to follow). Many include wonderful illustrations, including the fully graphic novel version of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". The book "A Christmas Memory" also has the matched cassette tape with it. If not taking all, please indicate which titles you are interested in. Strong preference given to households specifically needing low-toxin materials, and those who will maintain them in this way.

Free: Wood scraps (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Gifted Someone no-showed after I already dragged these out front today. I'd love for someone to pick them up today if possible, and will prioritize anyone who can, but otherwise still a general offer.

Free: Lox-toxin books (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) *Photo represents only a tiny portion of books we have to part with. Please message directly, indicating your genre(s) of interest, to receive a list of titles. Messages asking "is this still available" will not be replied to. We have hundreds of books- if the post is still up, we still have books!* Books are easily contaminated with the increasingly toxic chemicals found in everyday products for things like laundry, general cleaning, air "freshening," lawn care, and body care. These can cause all sorts of health problems, many of which can go undetected for a long time. If your household uses conventional products, getting low-toxin books won't do much good, because the toxins from the products will soon get into the paper. Since books cannot be washed, even "a little" contamination usually means that they are contaminated permanently. Whether or not you are chemically sensitive, if your household uses only non-toxic products and are committed to working to keep the books usable for everyone, please don't be shy about taking as many as you want! In messaging with your interest, please indicate that you are specifically seeking low-toxin books for this purpose. Genres include but are not limited to: Children’s picture books, children’s chapter books, teen/YA, novels, mystery/thriller, sci-fi, fantasy, environmentalism, nonhuman animal welfare, gender/feminism, race/anti-racism, LGBTQIA, disability, mental health, aging, child-rearing/adoption, political theory, history, nature, science, health, art/crafts/DIY, mythology/religion, addiction-/compulsion-recovery, languages, dictionaries, short stories, plays, graphic novels/comics, poetry.

These have been carefully kept non-toxic from fragrances, smoke, etc. so please only respond if you will maintain that! Willing to split them up if needed. All of the following have non-plasticized inner pages: Halloween Activities for Primary Children, by Rachelle Cracchiolo & Mary Dupuy Smith (some implications about certain animals and "ugly" witches being scary) Make & color your own Halloween Decorations, by Jill E. Osborne (some implications about certain animals and "ugly" witches being scary) Learning About Plants Resource Book (level Pre K - 1), by Jo Ellen Moore & Joy Evans (1987) The Magic Pipes (or the adventures of Will and Penny Woods), by Bernadette Pitera & Sal Pitera, illustrated by Bernadette Pitera (1997) (has some outdated language about Indigenous people) – story and activity book PLASTIC-FREE: We’re Talking Electricity! Coloring [& Activity] Book, with Louie the Lightning Bug (uncoated-paper book with simple 2-staple binding, one small portion already colored in) PLASTIC-FREE: The Ring, The Sword & The Rainbow, by Karen Dickinson, illustrated by Larry Scheffler (intentionally cover-free wide uncoated-paper book with simple 2-staple binding, designed as both a story-book and a coloring-and-activity book – several of the activities completed)

Request: Bug netting/Metal window screening (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Received Seeking some bug netting fabric and/org a partial roll of intact metal window screening (or from old windows themselves), to cut to size for keeping bugs out of car windows. I'm seeking five panels, all approximately 14 x 38 inches (or pieces I can cut down to that). Would be happy to return what I don't use, or pass along to someone else, depending on your preference! Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Request: Rechargeable fan (Ann Arbor Northwest Side) Expired I'm working to get a relatively decent set-up for living in my car, and wanted to ask here first if anyone has a rechargeable fan (or two) they'd be wiling to part with. I want to avoid ones that have to plugged in the whole time, or need disposable batteries to run. Preferably would clip-on to or wrap-around a surface, but I may be able to make different versions work. It would help a lot with making the car more tolerable in this season, and would also help reduce risk of mildew. I included an example picture, just to clarify my request, but I have no preference on brand. Thanks in advance for your consideration!
