Metal stuff (Cascade, South Lake Union) Expired 256d - Looking for metal flashing, sheet metal, hardware cloth. I don't have a car, so near to South Lake Union is best. (I might be able to get a friend to drive me.) Thanks.

Cuttings (Denny/7th) Expired 1y - Crabapple, Kiwi, Fig, Mulberry, Filbert, Gogi, Persimmon, Chestnut, Pomegranate, and other less common fruit and nut trees.

Plastic sheet/tubing (Denny/7th) Expired 1y - For the garden, UV protected. If you get a new mattress, I could use this. Not very mobile at the moment. Will also take Remay (tm).

Red Wigglers (Denny/7th) Expired 1y - Start your own worm farm. These are the same ones used in vermiculture all over. You will need a plastic container about 2-5 gallons. I'll tell you everything that is involved and how to set them up. This is not limited to one person. I spend maybe 10 minutes a week on them. A great way to produce your own rich worm castings, and to reduce some of the plant waste you produce. There is no unpleasant odor...I've got two in a one bedroom. . There's no rush here. The worms make more. But being a responsible wormparent, I want them to go to good homes. Before you pick them up, you want to read a few articles/videos. You want to know what you will keep them in, and whether it will be inside or outside. One example: Get a 5 gallon paint can. Make a lot of small holes on top, side, and bottom. I take a thick pin, or piece of wire, or thin drill bit and hold it in pliers, or tie it on a stick. Use a lighter or torch or candle to heat up the needle until it is red. Stick it in the bucket several times until it is cool again. Do this outside as the gasses are not great. Some make larger holes and a screen over or inside. The goal is to allow air in but not fruit flies. You could also leave the top open and cover with cheesecloth. Fill the bucket halfway with shredded paper. Spray it so it is moist (not wet.) At first put in a fruit/vegetable that is rotten or a few apple cores, etc. Cut it up to make it easier to eat. I wouldn't put more than a handful. Bury this in the paper all in one place along the side. Cover it and leave them alone for a few days. The worms should be clustered around the food. Add a small amount of food every few days. You want to figure out how much they will eat. You don't want a lot of undigested food. As the worms do what worms do, you will get more. (Two worms get together, fertilize each other and each leaves eggs in cocoons. Worms are both male and female, so each fertilizes the eggs of each other. You're now a worm farmer. Do NOT put meat or milk products in the bin. Also no citrus peels or onions Once you've got yours set up, and read a few articles, let me know. Bring a small plastic container. I've got two worm farms in my apartment and no one knows. There's no odor. Every so often I pour it out and gather up the rich brown castings and put them in my garden By the way, you should name each). (Just kidding.
