Kettle, Microwave, TV and Laptop (Handsworth B21) Please read! Im Ed, i have been homeless and sofa surfing for the past 2 years, after leaving an abusive relationship, having my kids taken away from me, which led to a very fast degrading Mental health condition, topped up with a road accident that put me in hospital for 6 months ( only part of the 2 years that i didnt have to worry about where to sleep and have food and shower ). Sorry for sharing this negativity... im now 80% recovered physically and not as depressed as i was before. On the 6th of November trough referrals i have been awarded a room at a hostel, which makes me feel much safer and makes a tremendous impact in my journey to fully recover and recuperate all of that ive been missing... a decent job, time with my children and feeling healthy and happy again. Im here to kindly ask if in this community any kind heart soul has any spare of the following items that o could happily recycle and use, as all i have in my room is a Bed, a wardrobe and a huge mirror and desk: A TV or a Radio would be great for keeping with the news, as there is a communal area in the hostel but only has sofas and nothing else. A Microwave and a Kettle would be great to have in my room as im on the first floor, and still struggle a bit with stairs. Being able to make hot drinks or warming a meal without leaving the room would be fantastic Lastly, a LAPTOP i know its a long shot... i have enrolled in a free online course (Level 1 Mental Health Awereness) and would love to go all the way to Level 3 certified. Unfortunately the course is free, but they wont suplly anything else. I only have a android mobile phone, but the small screen makes my eyes tired really quick (i have catarats on left eye) and frustration kicks in after few minutes. Bycicle and mobile phone (Wednesbury WS10) Expired Hi all. I have just had my cast removed following an incident in early March this year. I have had no earnings since, and been advised to start cycling to help with my recovery, but I can't afford to buy one. Also need a phone to start making contacts and handyman jobs.
