Request: Thinking of scrapping an old/unused push bike ? (Clayton ST5) Good morning My hobby is rescuing and restoring bicycles to the best that they can be. I then pass them on to Douggie Mac. Win Win. They get a bike to sell and I'm kept out of mischief. My supply from friends and neighbours has dried up of late so...... I'm asking you dear people to help me once again, last time I asked you were tremendous, thank you. Ideally within a 10 mile radius of Clayton. Don't worry about condition , I can strip spare parts from them. Any age range, any type, old road bikes mountain bikes etc etc. Thanks again Gordon

Free: Houseplants (Holloway DE4) I have a growing collection of propagated houseplants. They are nearly all spider plants (Chlorophytum comosum) and coin / money plants (Pilea peperomioides). The spider plants are fast growing, need a reasonable amount of water and easily propagate from their plantlets. I tend to just put a fresh pot beneath a 'landing' plantlet to mimic what would happen in the wild when it touches soil. Once roots establish in the plantlet, the umbilical shoot can be cut. The coin plants are slower growing and need less watering. One thing I've discovered is that they seem to dislike being in ceramic pots. I've no idea why but I would advise just using plastic pots. They propagate by division of the sprouted rhizomes that spring up from around the base. The plants are all potted in my own garden compost in a plastic pot. I'm afraid I'm always short of trays so these won't be included. You may find a few shoots of weeds growing out of the compost (maybe grass or a nettle) so look out for these and prick them out. I've said there are 10 plants available but that's just a quick guess. Just arrange a time to visit and you can choose whatever you want to suit your needs. I have various sizes. I know houseplants are desirable items these days so if you add a nice surrounding pot (the outer one can be ceramic) then these might make good presents.
