Fix-It Night in Magnuson Oct. 9th (NE Seattle)
Bring by your broken household items for a night of fixing and community building at the Magnuson Community Center! Fix-It Night at Magnuson Community Center - Friday, October 9th, 5 - 7:30 PM Magnuson Community Center: 7110 62nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115 Sign-up here: Join Seattle REconomy for a night of repair and skill-building at the Magnuson Community Center! The NE Fixers program, supported by the Department of Neighborhoods’ Matching Fund, aims to share repair skills within local communities. During these free events, community volunteers will be on hand to offer their skills to help fix things like lamps, small appliances, clothing items, small furniture, and other items, as well as to sharpen and maintain tools such as garden shears and pruners. Anyone is welcome to attend these repair events! There will be repairs, tool sharpening, and refreshments. If you are interested in being a Fixer for an event, please email us at outreach@seattlereconomy.org. We would love to have you! Event hosted by Seattle REconomy, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing our community’s footprint and increasing our climate resilience through sharing resources, knowledge, and practical solutions. Medical compression stockings (Ballard)
Size small closed toe nude A pair of medical grade compression tights 20-30mmhg from brand absolute support. I got them for my POTS, tried on once but they didn’t work out as I have ultra sensitive skin. Also my cat was on my lap for one second and it got a few snags instantly lol. If u have tweezers u can work them back into the stocking by sticking the snags thru the other side. Washed w hypoallergenic detergent and air dried. They are quite thick and sturdy, courser material (not silky smooth like typical stockings, but also not nearly as coarse as other brands I’ve tried ) they are heavy duty but work very well for compression. id love for them to go to anyone w medical conditions wanting to try out this brand.! i may have some other compression tights/socks im letting go of if you are in need lmk!

Six year old Avocado Green Mattress. Hybrid latex & innerspring, pillowtop, 14 inches deep. From a clean, smoke free, pet free, bug free (except the occasional fruit fly or stray gnat) home. Always had a mattress cover on 100% of the time. Full disclosure: there's a little bit of sag in the dead center, but the sides are still fine. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who wants a lot of support from their bed, but it's great for those who like things on the softer/plusher side of things. Also, this thing is heavy so if you claim it, you'll definitely need at least two people to move it.

Hello, I am a young adult living with disabilities, attained in his late teens - early twenties, thus did not get a real chance to develop any of my executive functioning skills I was recently assigned a community support worker, who will be helping me with many things, amongst one of them, try to fine tune my executive functioning skills, A LITTLE LATE, We were searching online, what I could do to improve my executive functioning skills and found that playing board games (chess, settlers of catan were the two specific games mentioned on a University of Illinois page about developing executive functioning skills in adults page). I, even tried to quickly draw a chess board, and sixteen pieces to play a couple of rounds of chess with my community support worker, but had trouble in the middle, getting confused who’s paper drawn piece was who’s :( If anyone has a chess set, or any other board games that they no longer play on, I would graciously travel to the end of the earth (or a transit bus/sky train station near by your location :) ) to receive your gift Thank you very much for reading my post, And I hope that you ALL have (or had, since I am posting this at 5pm :S) a GREAT DAY :D John
