Honey Locust Wood (Stanley Park area of Kitchener)
There is a good sized branch from my honey locust that fell in the storm yesterday. I usually cut it up and it makes excellent hardwood for a fire by the next year. It's not possible for me to do this year, so if anyone wants it, it's yours. Let me know. I can be a little flexible with arrangements for you to come by and cut or take it as is - but during daylight hours only.

Bunny Supplies for Rescue (Region of Waterloo)
Hello wonderful community folks! I am presently fostering 5 of the 31 rescued bunnies taken in by Ground Search And Rescue KW and hoping to borrow or be gifted some supplies. The bunnies are doing great at decompressing, getting accustomed to my voice and their new routines! What would be fabulous is some different enclosures. I have one proper cage with a fully removable top and would really appreciate another, if not two more. It is not easy to keep bunnies tidy in a dog crate. I am managing but a deeper bottom base would be fabulous along with a fully removable top. I could also use some water bottles, high sided heavy feeding dishes and enrichment items. (Clean paper towel/toilet paper tubes, compressed animal safe wood chews, hides etc.) The bunnies have lots of hay and pellet food from the rescue but with 31 in total, fosters will need more. If I can source some pellet food, oat hay, alfalfa, beet tops, carrots and tops etc that will help as well! Almost forgot, I am going to work with the bunnies at potty training. I have purchased one bag of the paper pellets for litter. Receiving more would be incredible if you have some not going to be used. Are there any local carpenters who have aspen shavings they could donate? I'm happy to come and pick up anything offered! The rescue is always in need of crates and carriers as well due to the higher volume of dogs/cats being rescued. Thank you for your consideration! Suzanne 🌞

Young Pine Tree (Stanley Park Kitchener)
This is a beautiful healthy tree that has naturalized in my front garden from seed. What was a small sprout of about 10" likely 5 years ago has in the past two years quickly become this tree! As I didn't offer it before this last growth spurt when it was only 3' high a trailer or truck is likely needed to transport it with the root ball wrapped in a tarp. I will be here to help with the digging to remove the root ball. It will be a bunch of work to carefully dig around and under to ensure it has the best chance of living after transplant. Only giving away since I bought one with output chute. Has only one speed, so on or off. We need enclosures, crates, hides, dishes, water bottles and anything you can gift for them. Thank you as always for any assistance! Suzanne in Stanley Park _____________________________________ / ⚠️ URGENT ⚠️ RABBIT RESCUES NEEDED OR FOSTERS NEEDED FOR 31+ BUNNIES Last night, Volunteers responded to a heartbreaking situation involving a large number of domestic bunnies that had been dumped in Innerkip. They were able to safely recover 31 bunnies and unfortunately, there are still more out there. Our team will continue working to locate and safely recover the remaining bunnies. Right now, we desperately need our community’s help. WE NEED RESCUES ANDWE NEED FOSTER HOMES and EQUIPMENT FOR THEM. With 31 bunnies already in care and potentially more coming, we simply cannot do this without foster homes. If you have a safe, quiet space in your home and are able to temporarily foster one or more bunnies, please reach out to us as soon as possible. You do not need to commit to adopting, we just need safe places for these little ones to land while their next steps are arranged. If you have small animal equipment to donate: enclosures, water bottles, dishes, hay etc. please let us know. Any donations will be appreciated Even if you cannot foster, you can help tremendously by SHARING THIS POST.
