Laptop/PC for Online Degree (Gleadless Valley S14)
Hey guys, I'm going to be doing an online degree with the Open University and I am desperate for a Laptop/PC to work on. I'm not great with my mobility after being knocked off my bike and now have a twisted spine so I don't get out. Also I've had to start my life again due to leaving my old life behind in just the clothes on my back. I can now do what I want to do and I'd love to get my degree online. I don't want anyone's pity, I don't want to be treated like a victim or anything like that. I've gone through a lot of bad things in my life but it hasn't weakened me on the contrary it's made me stronger and who I am today. I just want to be able to show myself that I'm capable of doing something that I was told I'd never be able to achieve and I could really do with a little help please (something that I'm not used to asking for) and I've learnt that asking for help isn't a weakness so if anyone can help me please can you contact me? I am a retired Advanced Lecturer in electronics. I am currently looking for computers and laptops that I can refurbish and gift to people who are not in a position to buy. Note: Microsoft's support for all Windows 10 versions ended in October 2025 (however, if you pay £30, minimum support can be extended for 12 months - this price doubles for each 12 months extension thereafter). Also, Microsoft's support for Windows 11 23H2 ended on November 11, 2025. If you are not sure which version of Windows is on your computer type winver in the search box and hit Return and it will appear in the summary that pops up, Suitable computers for donation are: Purchased in or after 2015. Windows 11 & 10 computers (that may or may not be Windows 11 compatible). Laptop or desktop tower (micro towers especially). I do not charge anything for my time or the computers that I gift so it helps if they are in working order. Many people remove the hard drive as a security measure though it is not always necessary. Microsoft gives advice and instructions on how to prepare your computer for donation. Just search for "How to Prepare Your PC For Sale or Donation" and select the Microsoft's Support Page. If you prefer, I can remove personal data (by securely shredding and formatting) before carrying out a total re-installation of the Operating System (Windows) in accordance with Microsoft's instructions. If it is not possible to re-install Windows, I install the Linux Mint Operating System. Demand far outstrips supply so I am grateful for donations. Thank you for your consideration.

I am giving away a pair of Quechua men's low-cut hiking shoes. These do not have ankle support. Size: UK 12 Condition: The upper parts of the shoes are in good condition and they are very comfortable. Note on soles: The soles/tread are quite worn down and do not have much grip left. They are likely not suitable for slippery hills, but would be perfect for gardening, DIY work, or casual dry walks. See photos!
