Fixing Factory Electrical Repair for Hackney Fixathon Day, 10th October 26
Join us on Saturday October 10, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Pembury Community Centre for a special Fixathon Day dedicated to repair and mending!
To celebrate [International Repair Day](https://repairday.org/), Hackney Council is hosting this event to showcase the benefits of repairing, encourage people to fix rather than replace, and help build a repair-first culture across the borough.
Repairing and mending your items is far more sustainable than buying new. Let’s make Hackney greener and more resourceful by embracing repair, reducing waste and supporting a shift toward a circular economy. All repairs will be FREE!
Need to know:
* Please book a 60 minute time slot with an expert fixer.
* Bring your broken electrical item from home that need some love and repair.
* Plan to stay for your repair — we’ll guide you through the process step-by-step. (Sorry, no drop-offs!)
* Some repairs are quick fixes, but others may take hours or require multiple sessions.
Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to learn, share, and contribute to a more sustainable future!
We currently focus on portable electronic appliances. While we can fix lots of stuff, there are limitations! Please check the list below before bringing things for repair.
