Sawston Repair Cafe
Sat 23 Nov 2024, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
Bring along your broken item and a skilled volunteer will help you fix it! We can tackle a wide variety of repairs including jewellery, electrical and electronic devices, as well as clothes and fabrics including blinds, curtains, bags and suitcases and parasols, and other items. .
Please note that we will not be able to replace cracked screens on phones or tablets. The repairers are brilliant and can fix a lot of things but there are no guarantees.
You can read more about what happens at a repair cafe in our [blog post.](http://2g3s.staplefordvillage.org.uk/category/cafe/page/8/)
(If you have a bicycle which needs attention, you can bring it to our weekly Dr Bike Stapleford workshops held each Tuesday afternoon from 3pm – 5:30pm at the Old Slaughterhouse on Church Street in Stapleford).
Bookings have now closed, but we do still have some capacity to tackle unbooked repairs, especially clothing and fabric. We are fully booked as far as jewellery is concerned. There are only very few repair slots available for electrical items.
We ask all visitors to read and sign our repair agreement as we are all volunteers.
It’s a free event but donations are very welcome. Tea and cake will be available of course!
Please note that parking space at the hall is limited - please aim to park nearby so that those needing to drop off their item or passenger at the hall have space to do so.
If you have any questions, please email 2G3Srepaircafes@gmail.com but please note we can’t accept bookings via email.
Organised by 2G3S (Going Greener in the Shelfords, Stapleford and Sawston). http://2g3s.staplefordvillage.org.uk/
