12:00 – 16:00
12:00 – 16:00
Islington Fixers Repair Party at Barnsbury Fair.
The Islington Fixers go to the Cally Area where volunteers fixers will help clients fix broken electrical and electronics to save them from waste.
Please join us to help fix or run the event! We are happy to help and new volunteers to gain experience or help any experienced fixers to share their knowledge with volunteers that need some support!
The focus of the event will be skill-sharing, where participants with broken items take an active role in their repair.
People can book here: https://www.islingtonclimatecentre.co.uk/events/islington-fixers-repair-par...
We've asked participants NOT to bring the following to the Repair Party:
* Large battery packs e-bikes, scooters, hoverboards, etc. There's a risk of fire
* Mains pressure washers. We don't have to space where they can be tested - (ie: outdoors with a hose pipe, etc)
* Microwaves. They're extremely high voltage with potentially carcinogenic insulation
* Anything that may contain asbestos as an insulated material. It’s rare, but has happened. (Think 1930/40/50’s kettles etc.)
== Hosted by Islington Fixers ==
