Learn to repair your broken items and help reduce waste in our community. We will provide a workspace, tools, and guidance from a volunteer “Repair Coach” to help you disassemble, troubleshoot, and hopefully fix your item.
Categories include: bicycles, electronics, mechanical items, ceramics, sewing & textiles, small appliances, sporting goods, small furniture, jewelry, & shoes!

Location details: 2425 Stuart St, Berkeley(enter through the gate on Stuart St. near the intersection of Stuart and Regent St.), wheelchair accessible, bike parking, accessible by AC transit (bus stop in front of school on Telegraph Ave.), 2hr. street parking only
BACKGROUND INFORMATION
As part of the BUSD Fix-it Fest, (Berkeley Unified School District) middle school students enrolled in MakerSpace and Advanced STEM classes will learn about repair during a week-long unit in the classroom.
This event (the first of two events in the 25/26 school year) will provide an opportunity for school & community members to learn how to repair household items. A second event will be held in February.
