Repair Café: Oakington Pavilion
Saturday, 7 February 2026
11:00 – 14:00
11:00 – 14:00
#### Join us for the third Oakington Repair Cafe!
Oakington Repair Cafe returns to the Oakington Pavilion on 7th February 2026. Join us for repairs, conversation and treats from Oakington's finest bakers!
Bring your clothes, jewellery, bikes, electricals and household items in need of repair, or items that need sharpening eg. garden tools.
All repairs are free, thanks to our team of experienced volunteer repairers, although donations are very welcome.
Our cafe will again serve hot and cold drinks, cakes, and light lunches and is open to everyone - you don't need to be having an item repaired!
We recommend booking repairs in advance to avoid a long wait for walk-in slots on the day. In the interest of fairness, we will only accept one booking per person*.
Bookings will open nearer the time (around 4 Jan) - see https://sustainableow.co.uk/repair-cafe/
##### Access
Oakington Pavilion can easily be reached by:
* Citi 6 bus (Queen's Way, 0.2 mi/300 m)
* Busway A/B (Oakington Busway stop, 0.5 mi/800 m)
* Cycle (bike parking available; approx 5 miles from Cambridge City Centre. Mostly traffic-free route via Busway)
There is also a car park.
The Pavilion is accessible, with blue badge parking within 15 m of the entrance. For accessibility queries, please contact oakingtonrepaircafe@gmail.com.
This event run in partnership with Cambridge Carbon Footprint and insured by Wessex Insurance
*Additional items may be accepted on the day at our discretion, but priority will be given to those who have not already had an item repaired.
== Hosted by Oakington Repair Cafe ==
Oakington Repair Cafe is organised in conjunction with Sustainable Oakington and Westwick (SOW), a group of local residents with an interest in sustainability and the environment.
We wanted to create a friendly community event in the heart of the village, where people could come to meet, chat and take positive action to benefit themselves and the environment.
Our first Repair Cafe ran in February 2024 and was a great success. We intend to continue run the Repair Cafe annually in February, as an important fixture in the village calendar.
All ages are welcome at our Repair Cafes, which take place in the accessible Oakington Pavilion. You do not have to have something that needs repair to visit us - many people drop by for the tea, cake and the atmosphere.
