Request:
Local computer recycling (GU7 3AW)
Local computer recycling – don’t take to Landfill please. My hobby is recycling computers and IT equipment: i've been recycling computers for family, friends and neighbours for over 25 years now. It's not a commercial venture just a hobby to keep myself busy and help out. It's super-useful for old IT stuff to be refurbished, repurposed and then reused rather than going into landfill as that's bad initially for the environment and ultimately damaging for our children's health. Please send me a private message (Alistair_Menezes@yahoo.co.uk) It feels so satisfying to have a good clear out and get rid of old IT stuff which doesn't meet current needs. So, rather than going to the dump - it feels so bad and wasteful to trash stuff that still has some life left in it - recycle it for the benefit of future generations' health and the planet's wellbeing. I wipe ALL data on hard drives permanently and securely. Make sure you don't need any data because when it's erased, it's erased forever with military grade software and cannot be retrieved; it can take up to 10 hours to securely erase the memory on a hard drive. Should you have old/slow/broken laptops, desktops, tablets and phones, then please send me a private message. I live in Godalming and don't have a car. So if you want to recycle your IT stuff please could you drop off to 'GU7 3AW'? I'm opposite Farncombe train station. Also, I'd be happy to give free help and advice about any of your IT issues. Please send me a private message (Alistair_Menezes@yahoo.co.uk) As this is my hobby no money is exchanged.
