Hi everyone. I was told about this group by my friend Stacy, so I thought I would join up and try here before buying yet another phone for my 13 year old. This time it wasn't actually his fault, and we think his phone was actually stolen at his swimming lesson sadly. He has been through a few phones, so his last one was a free gift from his auntie with a crack in the screen. He is more interested in books and his PC, so the phone generally only gets used for WhatsApp and calls. If you have something that still works and for that purpose that you no longer need, he doesn't care what it is, whether its damaged etc. Just really need to get him through until his birthday in September so he can stay in contact and be reachable when he's out. He's using a basic non smart phone for now, but the use of WhatsApp would make a massive difference. I will wait and see on here, then maybe try Gumtree etc. Thank you. Marcus Kemp

Hi, I'm looking for a servicable cordless hedge trimmer and/or strimmer to tidy up the alleyway by where I live. ( It has to be cordless/petrol as the hedges/bushes/trees are over 150 yards from any power source.) I'm pretty mechanically minded, so even if it doesn't work I should be able to repair it! Double bed, beautifully crafted wooden head and foot boards, iron bedstead. Tall. It was made by a family member, probably 80 years ago. Very big and heavy. Not sure of the construction, but I think panels must slot in. If interested, you need to dismantle it with your own tools. Will need two people and a van! To be collected from a holiday let, so need to make firm arrangements with the housekeeper to collect. Message for more details.

Hi everyone. I'm currently looking for any basic, unwanted tablet for my son. It doesn't need to be any particular size or anything special. It also doesn't have to be fast. Even if the battery doesn't last, it will probably do fine for his needs. My son Josh has learning difficulties, and has been given a special Mathematics app by school that he is absolutely loving and learning so much faster with. It works on his phone, but it's just that bit too small. He literally needs something bigger than a phone that he can leave plugged in with the app at his desk at home, dedicated to that one app for the next couple of years The app will run on most tablets, even older ones apparently as it's very light. If you have anything redundant, we would love to give it a go before I have to spend on something overkill that he really doesn't need. Many thanks. Lucy x
