It can also be used as a normal alarm clock without the light function. Can probably be used as a side lamp, but haven't checked. Unfortunately, my partner only likes pitch-black sleeping conditions. These are the kind that stack cans on their side and they roll forward for you to use. They have six roller compartments and then side shelves for four additional cans. These are really handy and faired us well when little was first born, to help over-stock. They're in good condition and are only giving away because we don't need them anymore.
