Tropical fish tank (West Felton SY11)
On offer is a tropical fish tank in full working order. My son was inspired by his teacher to get a tank and we’ve had this for about six years. Apart from some water marks due to the hard water around here it is in general good condition. Includes heater, pump and multicoloured light strip. Whilst he was keen and helpful with it for a few years he has lost interest and so if someone else would like to take it for their family I would be happy to see it go to a good home. There are two fish that will come with the tank and we’ve had them for 1-2 years. One is a bronze corridora (catfish) and the other possibly a glo fish tetra. The tank does require regular maintenance (monthly checks) and so this needs to be considered if you are thinking of requesting it. I have learned a bit about how to keep the tank happy - water quality is most important- and if someone with little experience asks for it I would be happy to pass on some tips about how to look after it if required. These fish are sociable and need some more buddies - the tank is a Fluval Flex 57L and can accommodate about 16 fish or thereabouts. The catfish is not included as it is a bottom dweller and helps to clean the tank up. There are a number of snails included too. There are two tiger snails and about 15 “assassin” snails. These snails are all welcome additions to the tank and the latter were bought as a bio method to get rid of pest mini snails. I have cleaned the tank out and hope to have got rid of any pesky ones that were there but the assassin snails should keep numbers in check. Any questions please ask. Collection from west Felton. You will need to bring a few new or very clean storage tubs to transport the tank water - approx 40L worth - as this contains beneficial bacteria and a stable pH. All of the items needed for maintenance and fish food will be included too. I will wait to get replies before promising straight away to give others time to check postings.

Not metal. Think it’s a type of fibre glass like plastic? Bit bashed but can be repaired…I have the fibre glass kit if you want to do this. I’m hoping it will come out in one piece tomorrow. If someone wants it then we will be careful but it’s coming out in the morning so let me know. It will need special transport but you could also cut it down to size for some other use? Lock has keys.

Works some of the time, otherwise comes up with E43 error, which probably indicates that the motor brushes have worn out. These are £30 from Bosch. Otherwise, machine has been well looked after, but is starting to show some rust. Bought in 2012, brushes changed in 2018, drain pump replaced in 2022. Main bearing is quiet. 8kg drum, 1400 spin, multiple programmes. Collection from Llandegley.

McCulloch petrol chainsaw - needs attention (Presteigne LD8)
McCulloch Mac 335 petrol chainsaw. Over 20 years old and not used for the past 10 years. Not sure if it still works but the chain can be moved easily by hand round the bar when the chain brake is disengaged, and the starter rope seems to pull OK. Hopefully just needs a thorough service and a safety check. Comes with two spare chains and the original instruction manual. Eole "Usual" motorcycle helmet, large size - this is is a budget French brand certified to older ECE R22-05 standard. Came as part of a job lot but too large for me. Appears to have been well looked after with no evidence of a knock but I can't be certain of that. Suggested use as an emergency only spare.
