Hi neighbors, I’m reaching out with a heavy heart. Life has gotten really hard lately, and I’m trying to hold it all together for my baby, my family, and my fur babies. We’re in a tight spot right now. Here’s what we’re currently needing: * Socks, shoes, jackets, and clothes for all of us * Cat litter and dog food * Learning cards or supplies for toddlers * Chainsaw (a tree is down on our property) I also have five fur babies I love dearly, but it’s getting overwhelming. I don’t know how to part with any of them — they’re bonded and I don’t want any of them to feel abandoned. If you’ve read this far, thank you. I’m not looking for pity — just community. I have a set of CDs for a three-book series called His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. Book 1, The Golden Compass, has 9 discs; book 2, The Subtle Knife, has 8 discs; and book 3, The Amber Spyglass, has 12 discs. They are unabridged and performed by a full cast. The series is generally considered appropriate for kids 12 and up. I discovered them as an adult, so I can't accurately judge how younger readers would respond, and of course that depends on the individual. I haven't played the CDs in several years because I now have digital downloads, but there were no problems with playback that I recall so they should be OK.

I am a senior citizen who is on a fixed income. It is extremely hard to pay my bills, buy groceries and purchase a washer and dryer. I moved into a new 55 and older community in November of 2024. I do not have a washer and dryer. If someone will be so kind to give me a nice washer and dryer, I will definitely appreciate and cherish it. I retired from retail after 34 years as a store manager, and I never thought I would be in this type of predicament. I have always been able to afford anything that I needed.
