For animals - red side still has hair and pulls from a fine-haired cat. Tan side looks better. I ran over it with a tape roller but it could use more work. Washable but the cat hair pills up on the claw-pulled fabric.

The maker has started to fail if it’s too full. 3-5 cups does fine, but though it has the capacity for 6 and 7 cups, it has started to pop to the warm setting before fully cooking that much rice. It has been a faithful companion for over a decade and still has a lot of rice life left in it!
