Windows 7/8/10 Laptops As a hobby, for many years, I have been refurbishing old Windows laptops by replacing the Windows operating system with the Linux Mint operating system. I then offer the refurbished computers either to Freecycle or Freegle bidders, or in some cases to other people who are known to be going through a hard time. As part of this process, I always ensure that all personal data is removed before reissuing the laptop. My stock of old computers is now very low, so I would be grateful for any old Windows computers that you would like to donate for recycling to a good cause at no charge. I make crochet hearts for Leeds hospitals. When a baby, child or adult passes away the lovely Nurses press one of the hearts to their lips and gives the heart to the bereaved parent or partner. They then kiss another heart and that is placed with the person that has passed. The bereaved person then has a lifetime keepsake that will hopefully give them comfort. Am looking for any scraps of wool to keep this lovey gesture going.
