My absolute favorites are: Velvet and crushed velvet Art Deco and 1920s–1940s inspired fabrics Damask Brocade and jacquard Extremely thick, heavy satin suitable for upholstery Silk-like upholstery fabrics Mohair or mohair-style velvet Chenille Tapestry fabrics Embossed fabrics Ornate floral or scroll patterns Metallic or jewel-toned fabrics Victorian or Old Hollywood-style fabrics Regency, Baroque, Rococo, or glamorous vintage patterns Retro 1960s and 1970s upholstery fabric Heavy drapery fabric that could also work for upholstery Designer remnants, discontinued fabrics, old sample books, partial bolts, rolls, and large remnants I especially love deep jewel tones, black, gold, champagne, emerald, ruby, sapphire, plum, burgundy, navy, ivory, and other luxurious colors and textures. This is a well loved polyester shag rug that fades from teal to grey/beige. The center area is pretty matted but it has a lot of life left in it. Has been in a smoke and pet free house. The pictures show it rumpled up because of storing it rolled for a few months but it will smooth out over time.
