🌱 **Help us build a purposeful outdoor learning space for KS1 children!** 🌱 I am a local primary school Year 1 teacher hoping to transform our currently very limited outdoor area into a welcoming, hands-on learning environment for our children. We are looking for **unwanted or pre-loved items that can be given a new purpose**, including: 🍳 Old pots, pans, bowls, wooden spoons, whisks and baking trays for a mud kitchen 🪣 Buckets, jugs, funnels, containers and tubes for sand and water exploration 🪵 Wooden crates, logs, planks, pallets and other safe loose parts for construction 🌱 Plant pots, gardening tools and containers for growing and nature activities 🎨 Chalkboards, clipboards, paintbrushes and other outdoor mark-making resources 🔍 Magnifying glasses, bug viewers and other items for exploring nature We aren't looking for lots of plastic toys. We're hoping to create **open-ended, purposeful provision** where children can use everyday and natural materials to build, investigate, imagine, problem-solve, develop language and communication, and explore maths and science through play.
