Desk Bureau (Rochester)
Beautiful solid wood vintage (antique?) bureau with gorgeous ‘barley twist’ legs and beading detail. It was given to me recently on this site as a “work in progress” but l now no longer have the time to complete it as it suddenly got all busy?! Previous owner had almost finished sanding it back to the original wood and started to wood filler where needed. They replaced the backing and drawer bases loosely with tacks (provided) which could be repainted or replaced fresh! It has a key and brass hinges, but needs some fab knobs… A great summer recycle project anyone? Earliest collector gets it :-)
