Suzuki digital pianos, need work (94022)
The Los Altos High School music department is giving away 7 Suzuki HP-85 digital pianos that need work. I believe that these are all repairs that are common to electro-mechanical instruments: A: Sticking F#, pedal cable is missing D: One of the keys stuck F: Low G lost sensitivity I: Low E is overly sensitive; F above middle C rattles, broken pedal K: Low C# doesn't work, pedal connection flaky O: Low Eb lost sensitivity R: High F# lost sensitivity "Lost sensitivity" means that the key works but the note sounds loud even when you press the key lightly. The pedal mechanism is nicely built, but has a proprietary cable that is soldered to the circuit board of the pedal. If you'd like any of these instruments, let me know and we'll make the arrangements.

Thrifty Ice Cream Scoop (Emerald Hills, near cross.)
If you're old enough (i.e. nearly 80) you'll remember the ice cream at Thrifty Drug Store, selling for 5 cents a scoop, and dispensed with a strange cylindrical scoop. Rite-Aid still brands their ice cream "Thrifty" and still uses the bizarre scoop - and I was gifted one of these scoops as a nostalgia gift. It seems very well made from stainless steel, but I'll never use it and it will simply gather dust... so perhaps it's something to stir a memory, or perhaps intrigue your kids.

Dell Ultrasharp 2009W LCD (castro valley)
I have this spare older LCD that works great. The images are crisp using Windows 11 or OS X at the native 1680 x 1050 at 60hz over DVI-D as portrait or landscape mode. If you have Resolutionator on OS X you can push 1920x1200 or even 3840x2400 (but with everything that small I would not advise torturing your eyes like that). Note that I have not tested the VGA port or the USB hub ports. It is a nice little LCD, but I have enough spares – help me get stuff out of my garage please. The user’s guide: Reasonable arrangements can be made for meeting up/pickup/drop off, keeping prudent pandemic precautions in mind (social distancing, do not meet when you are sick/asymptomatic, wear N95/KN95 mask, etc). Note: no texting, email only thank you.

These are kid size, maybe elementary school age. Well loved but still very usable. One is curved for a right handed shot, one is curved for a left handed shot, and one has no curve at all (straight blade). All have wooden shafts and plastic blades. These are just for messing around or street hockey. Not suitable for league games. Can provide dimensions if you really need to know.
