Free:
Sewing machine for kids (Baseline and Clyde)
This was rescued from the trash and I tried to get it going but unsuccessfully. I’m giving it one more chance if someone knows how to fix something like this. NB it is not the batteries. There must be a computer chip in it or maybe a circuitry issue. There are screws that you can open it with. It is 6”x6”x4.5”.

silicone cup for massage therapy (Britannia)
Promised
A physiotherapist used one of these on my arthritic knee, and it seemed to help – so I bought my own version. It came in a pack of two, and this one is too large for that particular spot – I've never used it. (If you want to know how this thing works, just Google it. FYI, the pic showing a whole bunch of them is just for reference – I only have one to give away!)

23h
Free:
bathroom cabinet clearout (Britannia)
Various unwanted hair things from the depths: dry shampoo, brown spray cover-up for roots, mousse, and pump-action hairspray. Also sunscreen (though this isn't the season for it!), and cuticle remover. Some are unused, others are mostly full.

Free:
blue cushion (Britannia)
Approx. 20" square, originally from IKEA. Used to be on my deck, until I switched furniture; now it's just hanging around. The cover removes for washing, and it's rather faded from sun and rain – I was thinking of redyeing it, but can't be arsed!

Free:
Wooden desk (Near Slack and Merivale)
A desk, solid wood with oak near, circa 1950s. 60 x 30 x 30 inches (around24 inches high if the foot pedestals are removed). Some old stickers and labels could be removed, but otherwise it’s not in bad shape. Pick up can be arranged at a commercial building. It’s a two person lifting job. I would suggest renting an inexpensive Home Depot van.

Free:
Women's cross country ski poles (Bayshore)
Swix brand cross country ski poles; 125 cm; suitable for someone 5'2" - 5'3". One strap has come loose due to crack in the grip. Apparently the grips can be replaced if you want to use the strap.

Free:
2006 Civic Owner's Manual (Barrhaven (Walter Baker Area))
Arguably this isn't as exciting as, say, the equivalent swag for a 1966 Pontiac GTO. However, if you do own a 2006 Honda Civic Sedan this may be useful. There are: - Owner's Manual - Quick Start Guide - Warranty and Maintenance Guide Act now, and you'll also receive - Motor Trend January 2006 Car of the Year Issue (winner was the Civic) - genuine Honda dealer's brochure (wow, that's a thing of the past I think, at least in the "economy car" segment)

Free:
various kitchen stuff (2 of 2) (Britannia)
Promised
All these things are surplus to requirements – I’m giving them a chance for a new home here, before shipping them off to the charity shop! 1) large glass bottle, label removed (once held juice) – seems too handy to just recycle! 2) small decorative tin for tea, cookies, etc. 3) excessively tall wine glass 4) Britta pitcher, slightly battered with age – needs a new filter 5) small pull-string chopper … like a combination salad spinner and blender 6) small non-stick frying pan – so small, it never gets used 7) larger NOT non-stick frying pan, best used for sauces etc. No room for it. 8) large spatula, barely used 9) ice cream scoop, ditto 10) nutcracker, ditto 11) small ceramic bowl for pate or dip

Free:
12 pairs of “queen size” stockings (Britannia)
Promised
In the depths of my wardrobe, I discovered a couple of hangers loaded with this long-forgotten collection of nylon stockings. I haven’t worn skirts since I stopped having an office job (also stopped having a waist). These would fit a 14-16 lady. I’m now much too fat to fit into them, being more like a 22! I’ve laundered them all, and checked for rips or tears – they’re in pretty good shape. Various colours, as shown.

Free:
several dozen scraper blades (Britannia)
I bought these on Amazon recently, failing to notice that I was ordering not a ten-pack ... but a box of a hundred! I can lead a long and scrapy life, and never need this many. If you'd like to put dibs on a dozen or so – or even just half a dozen – I'm happy to split them up for people.
