Kits for hanging files in boxes (Petworth/ Park View)
These are frames for converting a suitable drawer or box to enable you to use hanging files in it. The side rails are scored for shortening them if needed. Two kits, but sadly one is missing one of its side rails- but perhaps you can improvise a replacement?

Free:
Bakeware (Cleveland Park)
Downsizing surplus kitchen ware. Can you use these? Cookie sheet, 15” x 9.75” (exterior dimensions); useful not just for cookies but for popular “sheet pan” recipes Square cake pan, 8” x 8” (interior dimensions) Round cake pan, 8.75” diameter; the “slide” that you see is a clever way to remove the cake or cheesecake, etc. easily and neatly, so that this functions much like a springform pan Small oven-safe or cooling rack, 10” (at widest) x 6” None has a label, but I think the pans are Ecko, a good midmarket brand. In-person pickup at Connecticut Ave. apartment building, near Zoo, between Woodley and Cleveland Park metros. If you come by car, short-term parking in our driveway is fine. Flexible timing Friday June 19 through Sunday June 21, EXCEPT no pickup Saturday morning. Thanks for your interest! See my separate listing for Corning ware and Pyrex, if that also appeals to you.

Vintage Corning ware and Pyrex (Cleveland Park)
Downsizing surplus kitchen ware. Can you use these? 6” diameter Corning ware “cornflower” saucepan, 1.5 cup 6” diameter Corning ware “cornflower” saucepan, 2 cup 8.75” diameter Pyrex casserole, with Pyrex lid and bonus snug plastic cover (for potlucks etc.), 2 quarts The Pyrex lid has a small chip on one edge. The two Corning ware saucepans share a lid. (They originally had two, but one broke.) It too has a small chip on the rim. They are not sharp-edged and do not affect safety. This is good stuff. The Corning ware is stovetop, microwave, and oven safe. The Pyrex is microwave and oven safe. The Corning ware is early 1970s, and the Pyrex is late 1980s or early 1990s. Vintage pieces are (supposedly) in great demand. As they should be…they’re sturdy and versatile and better than what’s made today! See /. Cuisinart ice cream maker (Petworth/ Park View)
Promised
Works fine as far as I can tell. It doesn’t have to do much, just rotate. It’s missing the freezable bowl, but you can easily buy a replacement on ebay for about $20. It’s from the “Ice-20” series of machines, so search for “Cuisinart ice cream maker ice-20 bowl” to see the options.

Down pillows (NW DC — 20011)
Two down pillows — recently washed and dried/freshened in sun, but they probably need another round of this treatment OR some more elaborate refurbishing to get the feathers back to original shape.

Free:
Hand-sewn Barbie 2-pc swimsuit (Petworth/ Park View)
What was I thinking? Upon request I altered a one-piece swimsuit into a two-piece swimsuit. Three pieces of elastic were added, so the suit will not fall off Barbie. Now Barbie is boring. such are the fruits of time. However, another child may glean the benefit of my painstaking labors.

Free:
Great child-proof lock system (Petworth/ Park View)
Works with a strong magnet, so it’s easy to get duplicate “keys”. One key is included. This lock system works fantastically. You can even set individual locks “on the latch”, i.e., temporarily unlocked and prevented from locking. The only downside is that you have to drill holes in the doors or drawers where you place the locks.

Free:
Hard plastic “wobble wedges” (Petworth/ Park View)
Use these instead of folded up paper under wobbly furniture. Actually I haven’t found them particularly useful. Maybe they need to be combined with something sticky or rubbery to prevent slipping out of place.
