The top is about half that depth, but because it doesn't rest on the ground when open, you can't really put things with any weight in the top without the box tilting over. All the LEDs work, including the red and green ones, and the visible light and infrared sensors probably work, although I didn’t test. For sure the rechargeable battery is no good (leaking), and the USB-C plug seems loose, too, maybe the cause of the faulty battery. This is a new lamp that didn’t work out of the box. You’ll also get the USB-A to USB-C charging cable, and the box with instructions for charging and the switch settings.

I have the following items available: 2 potted Wisteria seedlings (the mother plant has pink flowers, but the seedlings are not always the same color) 2 potted Fig trees (the variety is 'Peter's Honey' -- the trees are only about a foot or two tall right now) 2 Bulbine cuttings (these are 'Hallmark' the smaller orange flowering variety) All of these should be planted in the ground or put in larger pots right away.
